Yes! Youth 14 & up are invited to attend Gather Conference 2025 - Gather for Youth / GFY which will take place at Utah Valley Convention Center in Provo! Based on your feedback, this year will be an improved experience with opportunities for youth and their parents. We are pleased to be led by a team of LGBTQ+ folks and parents of LGBTQ+. We strive to provide a program that that presents a wide variety of perspectives and experiences. This year, we have the largest ever variety of LGBTQIA+ folks (including representatives of the lesser-known “letters” such as I (intersex) and A (asexual)) presenting, performing, and planning the 2025 Gather Conference.

You can dress anyway you feel comfortable for Gather Conference. You will find a wide range in what attendees are wearing - from casual t-shirt and shorts to business casual and sometimes even more dressy Sunday clothes. Whatever you want to wear is just fine with us, there is no expectation to dress a certain way! But please consider the weather (probably hot!), but also we will be inside an air-conditioned venue, so you might want to consider bringing a jacket or sweater if you tend to get cold easily.

Gather Conference will have an official staff photographer and other Gather Team members may also take photos during the Conference and related activity for social media/website purposes. When you register for Gather Conference 2025, you will be asked to select whether or not you give permission for Gather to use photos of you on the Gather website and/or related social media. Those who do not give permission for this will be provided with a special lanyard to indicate that photos of them should not be published by the Gather Team.
Please note that the Gather team requests that photos/videos taken by individuals at the conference are not published without express permission of those appearing in the photos. However, Gather is not responsible for photos or videos taken by private individuals and cannot guarantee that they will not be published by private individuals.
Gather Conference (and it’s parent organization, the Lift+Love Foundation) takes your privacy and personal information very seriously. We do not share your personal information (such as your email address, mailing, address, phone number) with anyone, and use them only for Gather-related purposes (like contacting you about conference schedule changes or sending out post-Conference feedback surveys) . We do not publish or share a list of conference attendees.

ABOUT GATHER

Gather Conference: A Lift+Love Event is dedicated to creating inspiring, educational, and affirming spaces for Latter-day Saint LGBTQ individuals, their families, and friends. Its primary mission is to foster a sense of belonging—to one another and to Jesus Christ. Now in its third year, Gather has become the largest community of identity-affirming and faith-affirming individuals seeking to deepen their connection to Christ while embracing the reality of their individual journeys.
We invite participants to share their personal experiences and challenges with honesty, openness, and respect for all. Gather’s speakers and presenters are asked to uphold the event’s core standards, particularly the belief that LGBTQ identity and faith can coexist in a healthy and authentic life. Gather is an inclusive and welcoming space where individuals can express their thoughts and feelings without fear of judgment or exclusion.

Gather Conference is for LGBTQ+ adults & youth and those who love them (including parents, spouses, partners, relatives, friends, community leaders, church leaders, and allies).
All are welcome as equals, regardless of gender identity, gender expression, gender presentation, orientation, relationship status, or church activity.
While organizers and attendees are primarily members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, church activity is not a requirement and you’ll meet people who are active, people who are semi-active, people who are no longer active, and people of other faiths (see “What if I’m not active…?” question below).

Anyone who wants to be associated with the gospel of Jesus Christ in any way, shape, or form is welcome (including those who aren’t active in the Church). Active members, not-so-active members, members who have questions, completely inactive members, people who have stepped away or are taking a break from the Church, people who grew up in the Church but are no longer participating, Latter-day Saint adjacent friends, folks of other faiths, folks with a complicated relationship with religion… you are all welcome at Gather. Everyone of any orientation or identity, whatever your path - we can Gather together and learn from each other. If you want to Gather, come as you are.
Elements of the Gather Conference that specifically pertain to faith/religion include invocation/benediction (opening prayer/closing prayer), singing of beloved hymns and primary songs, talking of Christ (including how we can emulate Him and apply His teachings to love one another) in presentations and breakout sessions, musical numbers related to faith and/or Christ, and a focus on Christ in the art show and other visual aspects of the conference (like our logo).
Participation in prayers, singing, etc is optional. Attendees of all faiths are invited to participate in these elements to whatever degree they feel comfortable.

Gather Conference is the largest-ever Christ-centered Conference of LGBTQ+ Latter-day Saints and their friends, relatives, and leaders. We are faith-affirming and identity-affirming, respectful of personal revelation, & supportive of all paths. The main Gather Conference (held annually in Provo, Utah) is sometimes referred to as Gather Conference Worldwide to distinguish it from the smaller locally-organized Regional Gather Conferences.
Gather Conference Worldwide is the original Gather Conference, which has been attended by thousands of people since 2023. We continue to welcome attendees from all over the world to Gather with us.

If you’ve registered for Gather Conference 2025, you should have received a confirmation email immediately after registration. However, sometimes these emails aren’t seen because they go to the spam folder or are mistaken for junk mail.

You won’t need to bring a physical ticket or printed proof of registration to check-in for Gather Conference. When you arrive, Gather check-in volunteers will be able to locate your registration in our online system. They will then provide you with your own name-badge and lanyard for the Conference.

Unfortunately, we are not able to issue refunds for purchased registrations/tickets.

Gather Conference participants will have the opportunity to help assemble kits for The Turtle Shelter Project in our Gather service project during the 2025 conference. Kits will be distributed by the Turtle Shelter Project to unhoused individuals (many of which are queer youth).
