CLARE DALTON
2025 GATHER PRESENTER, CO-FOUNDER OF GATHER FOR YOUTH, GATHERINGS CURRICULUM DEVELOPER
Clare Dalton (she/her) is passionate about creating safe spaces at the intersection of LGBTQIA+ identity and spirituality. After coming out as gay in 2021 while working as a full-time religious educator with Seminaries and Institutes for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she sought to embody Christ’s inclusive call to “Come, follow me.” Since then, Clare has helped found the Gather Conference and co-created its youth program. She now runs the Belong Youth Conference, where she now serves as Vice President. She co-develops the Gatherings curriculum for scripture-based LGBTQIA+ discussions, writes the weekly Gatherings thought, and co-hosts the “All Out In the Open” podcast. Clare lives in Arizona, where she enjoys her backyard pool, being Auntie Clare to 19 niblings, (rarely) beating her fiancée Ane in date night games, and occasionally braving a polar plunge to remind herself she can do hard things.
